Resources for Participants

The Ithaca Doula Collective has put a tremendous amount of work in creating free resources and a list of supportive care providers for the Greater Ithaca Community. Rather than recreate the wheel, we have received permission to share their links to share with you here.

IDC Guides: IDC has a group of guidebooks on phases and stages of labor, pain coping, movement and postpartum preparation.

Local Resources and Referrals: Here is list of providers within our region that support people through the childbearing years.

Free Birth Classes: Any participating family that is looking for free childbirth education, you can access it through the Cayuga Medical Center childbirth classes taught by Kate Dimpfl. Just contact Kate for the discount code before you sign up.

Resources for Doulas

If you are a doula, or looking to become a doula, we also have resources to share. The best way to find this support is to reach out to the Ithaca Doula Collective (IDC). They mentor, support and provide education to over 15 doulas in our community.

Ithaca Doula Collective

For the last two years, IDC has sponsored 6 BIPOC doula scholarships. If you are a BIPOC community member who is trying to access doula training, IDC has scholarships you can apply for to offset those costs.
